Collection Slugs

Every collection gets a unique slug — a short identifier used in URLs and Telegram commands. Slugs are automatically generated from your collection name.

Format

Slugs use the format name-xxxx — your collection name (up to 20 characters, lowercased) plus a 4-character unique suffix.

Examples

My Recipesmy-recipes-x7k2
Dev Resourcesdev-resources-a3b1

Where to find your slug

Collection page header
The slug is displayed below the collection name with a copy button. Click the copy icon to copy it to your clipboard.
Telegram /collections command
Send /collections to the Telegram bot to see all your collections with their slugs.
Using slugs in Telegram
Slugs are designed to be short and easy to type. Use them with the /item command to add items to a specific collection: /item my-recipes-x7k2 "Pasta" https://example.com

Adding Items

Items are the content inside your collections. You can add two types:

URL Items

Paste any URL and Colzer will automatically fetch the page title, description, thumbnail (Open Graph image), favicon, and site name. For e-commerce URLs, it also extracts product data (price, brand, rating) from JSON-LD structured data.

Fetched metadata is cached for 7 days to avoid re-fetching.

File Items

Upload files directly to your collection. Supported file types:

JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
PDF
DOC, DOCX
XLSX
PPTX
TXT
What you cannot upload
Executable files (.exe, .bat, .sh), archives (.zip, .rar), video/audio files, and any file type not in the list above. Files with double extensions (e.g., file.exe.jpg) are also rejected. Every file is validated by checking its magic bytes (file signature) to prevent disguised files.

File size limits

10 MB
Images
50 MB
Documents
5 MB
Text files

Previewing Items

Click on any item in your collection to open a full-screen preview modal without leaving the page.

Images
Displayed inline at full resolution within the modal.
PDFs
Embedded directly in the modal using an iframe viewer.
Other files
Shows file details (name, size, type) with a download button.
URLs
Shows the fetched metadata (title, description, thumbnail) with a link to open the page.

Tags

Organize your collections and items with tags for easy filtering and discovery.

1
Open a collection
Navigate to the collection you want to tag.
2
Add tags
Use the tags section to create and assign tags to your collection or individual items.
3
Filter by tag
Click on a tag to filter and view only items with that tag.
Tags in exports
Tags are included when you export your collections as JSON, so they're preserved if you re-import later.

Sharing & Access Control

Public Collections

Public collections are visible to anyone with the link. Each collection has a permanent public URL at /c/your-collection-slug.

Go to Import
Navigate to Collections → Import from your dashboard.
2
Choose format

Exporting

Export all your collections, items, tags, and metadata as a single JSON file. The exported file is named colzer-export-YYYY-MM-DD.json with a timestamp.

What's included in the export
All collections with their visibility settings, all items (URLs, files, metadata), tags, and display order. File attachments are referenced by path but not included in the JSON.

Trash & Recovery

Deleted collections and items aren't gone forever — they're moved to Trash where you can restore them.

How it works

Soft delete
When you delete a collection or item, it's moved to Trash instead of being permanently removed.
30-day window
Deleted items remain in Trash for 30 days. After that, they are permanently removed by the cleanup process.
Restore
Open the Trash page and click Restore on any collection or item to bring it back.
Permanent delete
You can also permanently delete items from Trash before the 30-day window if you're sure.
1
Open Trash
Navigate to Collections → Trash from your dashboard.
2
Find deleted items
Browse your deleted collections and items.
3
Restore or delete
Click Restore to recover, or Permanently Delete to remove forever.

Dark / Light Mode

Switch between dark and light themes for the dashboard interface.

Dark Mode
Default theme — easy on the eyes
Light Mode
Bright theme for well-lit environments

Toggle the theme using the sun/moon icon in the navigation bar. Your preference is saved and persists across sessions.

Adding Items via Telegram

Once your Telegram is connected, you can add items (URLs, images, documents) to your collections directly from Telegram using the /item command.

Command Format

/item [collection-slug] [title] [url-or-attachment]

Usage Examples

/item my-recipes-x7k2 Pasta Carbonara https://example.com
URL item in "my-recipes-x7k2" with title "Pasta Carbonara"
/item https://example.com
URL item in "Untitled" collection, title auto-parsed from the page
/item my-recipes-x7k2 Photo Title + attach a photo
File item in "my-recipes-x7k2" with title "Photo Title"
/item my-recipes-x7k2 + attach a document
File item in "my-recipes-x7k2", filename used as title
/item + attach a photo or document
File item in "Untitled" collection
Send a photo/document without any command
File item in "Untitled" collection

How it works

URL items
The URL is automatically parsed for metadata (title, description, thumbnail, favicon). If you don't provide a title, the parsed page title is used.
File items
The file is downloaded from Telegram, validated (MIME type, magic bytes, file size), and saved. A thumbnail is automatically generated.
Collection lookup
The first word after /item is matched against your collection slugs. If no match is found (or no slug given), the item goes to an "Untitled" collection (auto-created if needed).
Validation
All file type restrictions, size limits, and plan limits apply — same as uploading through the web interface. If validation fails, the bot sends you an error message.

Supported file types via Telegram

JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
PDF
DOC, DOCX
XLSX, PPTX, TXT
Important
Your Telegram must be connected to your Colzer account first (see Telegram Integration above). If you send items without connecting, the bot will ask you to connect via Settings → Notifications.
Telegram file size limit
Telegram's Bot API has a 20MB download limit. Files larger than 20MB cannot be received by the bot even if your Colzer plan allows larger uploads.

Listing Collections via Telegram

Use the /collections command in Telegram to see all your collections at a glance — handy for looking up slugs before adding items.

What you get

📂 Your Collections (3)
1. My Recipes
   Slug: my-recipes-x7k2
   Items: 12
2. Dev Resources
   Slug: dev-resources-a3b1
   Items: 5
3. Untitled
   Slug: untitled-m9p2
   Items: 1

Collections are sorted by most recently updated. The slug shown is exactly what you type in the /item command to target that collection.

Some features have usage limits depending on your plan.
